    Excellent beach lovely walk to get there then very quiet beautiful white sand and beautiful water was very quiet only one very attractive blonde lady at the end of the beach sending yourself and going for a swim definitely recommend

    A nice sandy beach that`s totally worth the walk. Two options to access Pohutukawa Bay from Long Bay; Follow the path over the hills, some awesome views and check out the old gun emplacement on the way. The quickest way is to walk along the beach and scramble over/through the rocks. At mid/high tide you`ll be forced onto some slippery rocks, at low tide it`s an easier walk. Plenty of shade if you want it, water is clear at this time of the year and don`t be surprised if a few fish come in to investigate your presence in the water.

    Inconvénients : Occasionally passer-bys are surprised when they arrive
