About Saddle Mountain Area

Saddle mountain is actually a pair of volcanic peaks that sit on 900,000 continuous acres of pristine Sonoran Desert land maintained by the US Bureau of land Management. Because it is public property, nude hiking there is completely legal. If solitude is your thing, you can hike there all day without encountering another living soul.rrThe trails cut through the site are very rough, and suitable only for sturdy four wheel drive vehicles, so you're best advised to park the family car at the entrance to the site and go on foot from there.rrThe Saddle Mountain area contains ancient archaeological sites, and is a bonanza for rock hounds and geology buffs. Volcanic hot springs abound in the area, and nearby El Dorado Hot Spring is ideal for an end of day nude soak!
