I have been to Bare Oaks as a day visitor a couple of times and once overnight in their lodge. I have been thoroughly impressed. The front office staff are helpful. The residents are immediately welcoming - one person was walking her dog as I walked out of the front office and offered to give me a tour! That evening was invited to join in the Euchre tournament. The yoga was very comfortable - poses were developed gradually and everyone was very relaxed. The swimming pond is amazing - lots of fun over & under the raft. The grass walking trail around the back of the lake is great - especially fo…
Pros: Facilities are great, the people are friendly, the food is good.
Cons: Can't think of a thing.

My wife and I live about three hours away from Bare Oaks, so we typically visit a couple of times per summer and camp for about a week at a time. It is without a doubt our favourite naturist resort. The facilities are very good, the washrooms are small and can be crowded on a busy weekend, but during the week they are more than adequate. The pool is lovely, and the new larger hot tub is very nice. The clubhouse has TV, a pool table and ping pong in the basement, sauna, etc. The Bare Bistro provides great meals at a reasonable price, and the prices at the bar are also quite reasonable. My wife and I went to Bare Oaks at the start of the season. From the moment we stepped onto the property we were made to feel welcome. The staff is very friendly, you get the feeling they genuinly care about the visitors, it`s not just a superficial smile they put up. Since this was our first visit we watched a very helpful intro video of the resort. My wife is not a nudist and was a little nervous at first. However the grounds are big and we found a quiet spot underneath the trees. In the relaxed settings she had no problem getting rid of the clothes and after awhile had enough courage to joi…
