Birdie is the best
5.00As a QLD resident I have found Birdie Beach to be a real pleasure and treat on my many trips to and from NSW over the last two years. My discovery of the beach was a recent and pleasant one as I hadn't realised how close it was to where my Grand Mother had lived for many years. It was in fact really easy to find and I found its incredibly easy to get onto the beach if you have any accessibility challenges ( I was recovering from a knee reconstruction). My first visit was in great weather and there was a pod of dolphins swimming in the breakers which made it a really memorable occasion. Adding…
Pros: The beach is incredibly accessible (compared to Samurai and Little Diggers) with the car park immediately adjacent to the beach. Its clearly signed as clothing optional. Plenty of room for everybody and you don't have to hide in the dunes.
Cons: Its a wide beach between the low water mark and back to the dunes, which means very little shade - make sure you take the sun tent or umbrella.

Birdie Is Great
5.00I often stop there if visiting down that way, when living in Newcastle, (quite a few years ago now) I used to frequent there every chance I could get, it's a fantastic location and plenty of room for all types. And no, being gay doesn't mean I am a pervert, get facts straight please, I just enjoy the freedom of wearing nothing all day long, like all nudists.
Pros: Plenty of room for all, lovely atmosphere and heaps of friends to be made.
Cons: Some bods who can spoil the atmosphere who persist in making it hard to enjoy if wanting to sit at the back of the beach.
