Well it’s been a crazy couple days. I know everyone is curious and concerned as to what happened, so I’ll explain….
I went out of town for a day and when I returned the site was down. I contacted the hosting company and they apologized and told me it was their fault.
Their Response
We are sorry our service is not meeting up to your needs. The truth of the matter is, we recently implemented a security system that tend to detect and suspend over-usage on the cpu and eems to be affecting your site status. The script is still new and we are just trying to tweak the best setting for optimal balance for performance and reliability. As it is your decision to move elsewhere, we understand your situation and the inconvenience this may have caused you. Feel free to ask any questions in the meantime, we will be willing to work out the best for your needs.
After receiving the email I decided we may have better reliability on another hosting company, so I signed up transferred and moved over. Unfortunately, I prematurely switched over and they were non-responsive with certain issues.
So I switched us back to the original host, had a nice heart to heart with them and got the issues addressed. We are now on the path to recovery from this whole mess. Thanks for the support from the kind users and Boo to all the “Chicken Littles” out there.
