We got the idea for ours by simply googling "outdoor showers". We then flipped thru the pics until we narrowed down what we wanted. Like he said...you can go simple and inexpensive or shoot the moon. Gladly, we plumbed forours when we built the house so we have hot and cold water.
One of the reasons we moved here was the outside shower; another owner(he might be a nudist too) had put in; outside. We are the last place on a dead end road, so there's no need for a fence. Do our yard work in the nude as well. Even the front yard. Then hit that shower. What a refreshing feeling.
I just downloaded several photos of the outdoor male torso mannequin shower I made. It was hollow plastic, so I cut holes in the bottom to install the support post, and the hot and cold tap, and then a hole in the neck, for the rain water shower head. I went to Home Depot and found a shower faucet that had the required shape to be the mannequin's penis to turn on the water. I had it free standing on the first property, where there was no need for a privacy screen. On the second property, I built it as a step down from the back door landing, with privacy walls on either side, and a small rain shelter roof, which covered the shower and back porch landing. You can see some steps in construction on the last set up. Hope that helps. Steve_Big_Island-Steve
Awesome work! My wife even approves! hahahahaha
Hope she doesn't get after me to make one of those for her! hahaha Where'd you get the mannequin torso?
Just expressing jealousy here. Even when I had a house, the neighbors were so close on all sides there was no outdoor privacy. There was literally NO WHERE I could stand on my property and not see someone else's windows. One of the many reasons I'm too happy to leave Long Island. Too damn many people living on top of each other.
Can't have an outdoor shower at home. No privacy since my back patio faces a road. I do have an outdoor shower at my camper at my local club. Will use it from April to October. As said before, nothing like an outdoor shower!
Took my first outdoor shower of the season yesterday. What a great feeling. Boy did I miss the feeling.
We finally got our shower valve fixed and are back to having the ability to have warm to hot water and not just cold or scalding hot showers! Since we don't have the winters and very, very cold days like some of you have, an outdoor shower in Southern California is a welcomed year round experience that we both enjoy.
We have a tri fold portable privacy screen we used to use but now that the landscaping is maturing and there's is more privacy to this area where the outdoor shower is, we can probably get rid of the privacy screen. We like the feeling of not being closed in while showering outdoors. Just took a nice outdoor shower last night. Makes for a much better nights sleep too!
Yep its called a hose with a sprinkler on it.
I often use it on our roof terrace without the need of hot water as with day temps in the mid 30c's the water from the hose is just nice. But one has to watch if the hose has been laying in the sun as the water gets very hot.
