RE: Oregon Shootinwith g

. What works you across the pond has not and will not work for us on this side. And it won't with those who have a fetishist attraction to guns and believe that the world is exactly as it was in 1791.
When the Second Amendment was passed "guns" as well as the world were significantly different then it is in 2015. Do we need anyone owning automatic weapons besides the military? In the last few school massacres automatic weapons were used. They were not an exception to the Second Amendment since they didn't exist in 1791.
In most jurisdictions it is easier to obtain a license to purchase a gun then it is to drive a truck. There is something wrong that! But, as long as the gun lobby (manufacturers and retailers of guns) spends 6 times that of the anti-gun lobby very little will change. Asking for tighter restrictions on the sale of weapons gets out the Henny Penny's screaming "gun grabbers". Intelligent, enforceable, and national gun laws will helpprotect us all.

Its bad when you get more adverse reaction to a bare nipple than a person brandishing a gun.
Only war mongers need guns. I just wish America would stop trying to dominate the world. Take a look at the despots America supported around the world only to have them go off the rails and create all sorts of havoc, Isis being the latest stuff up.I am sad because our stupid government got tangled in Americas web of lies re Iraq now we have a real festering sesspool. Armageddon here we come.

No automatic weapons were used in this or any other shooting. It is obvious that you have not tried to get a permit to buy a firearm.

. American citizens use them to control their governments..?

^rolls eyes^
If the government wanted to squash the citizens the military's firepower and arsenal would be unstoppable. So, thinking that you could take pot shots at tanks, bombers, and best of the US' Armed Services is an insane vision. But more importantly, just when since 1776 has the population needed to arm themselves against the US government?
You sir seem to forget that in the US military they take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution, not the government.

If no guns means no shootings, America should ban drugs. We've got a drug problem and we should have laws to stop these drugs being sold. The answer is so simple.Yes, we do have a drug problem particularly with opiates. Going after the supply of drugs may be the easiest yet least effective way to fight drug abuse. To fight the war on drugs the demand for the drugs is the bigger, and more difficult to address issue.

Not where I live. About a year ago some drug addict robbing a drug store shot up everyone. Also, druggies, like drinkers, kill innocents with their cars.
