Hey Paul, nothing to worry about a cataract operation any more. It's over in a jiffy and quite painless I'm told by friends who have undergone it. It's just the after care that matters for a few days, about using some eye drops at regular intervals.You'll in all probability not need spectacles once its over. Shall say a little prayer for you.
