You are lying naked on a nudist beach and a man comes up to talk to you. Is he being friendly or is he a pervert coming for a closer look? Would you take time to form an oppinion or do predudices click in?

I just assume he's being friendly. I'm a bit of an exhibitionist so anyone can look. I have had textiles obviously staring at me on the beach.

I tend to play it by ear. If they're also naked that's a good start, if they're obviously textile that's not the same. They may be first time visitors to the area and want to check out where nudity is OK, or something similar, I'd be happy to chat with them about that and other nudist related issues, whether they're clothed or naked, I quite frequently find this happening at my local nude beaches.

I'm comfortable in clothing optional situations and don't mind being looked at while naked, as a nudist that comes with my choice to be naked in public. Its obviously a lot easier to be naked in public after a lot of experience. If you openly share nude photos online you have no idea who looks at them, I share them because I see nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed about being a nudist, I like being naked and the photos show me as I prefer to be. I tend to approach being looked at while nude in public in the same way, unless the person who's approached me is over the top in how they look. We probably all set the 'over the top' limit differently, our individual tolerance level.

If I am "legal" where I am, then anyone that wants to look may do so with my acceptance. If they are staring, then perhaps I should be proud? Or perhaps I should look also that I'm not about to be stung by a wasp! If my body gives them pleasure without my even having to do anything, Great! If they want the interaction to be participatory, then I will decide if I want to participate or not. I will not look askance at anyone that approaches or interacts with me in a NOT UNFRIENDLY way. That said, I do appreciate body language. If I sense danger or malfeasance then I will withdraw and go into self protection mode. But someone in a "not unfriendly" posture will be initially accepted. If we don't "click" then I will respectfully and gently end the interaction. I don't "click" with everyone (who does?) but I will give everyone the benefit of the doubt! I don't hide when someone looks at my red tie at church. I don't hide when someone looks at my circumcision! (more likely to see my circumcision than my red tie)

I don't mind anyone looking at me while I am nude. I have on several occassions been the only nude person in group. Being nude is just my life style. Though I try not to be the center of attention, I never felt out of place or embarassed aobut being seen or looked at while nude. I do take pride in being able to gain he attention of others.

Happens to me occasionally and it doesn't generally bother me.
Only once have I been approached by a women and that was fun but odd at the same time.
She was there nude with her boyfriend who when she first greeted me was wearing long board shorts.
During our conversation, it came up that she had just suggested that they go to the beach and didn't tell him it was a clothing optional beach.
He found out when he saw the signs in the parking lot.
After some encouragement from her, he eventually dropped the shorts.

I agree. I am friendly and open to all nudist. However thier are nudist that a prudish and prejudice. I despise these type of nudist. And they shouldn't even call theirselves nudist to begin with. I have dealt with prudish people on this site as well. I wont say thier names. But if you read this. You know who you are and what you did. However to all the friendly nudist out there. Big naked hugs. And I hope to chat and make your acquaintances one day

I don't understand the question. If somebody comes up to talk to me it's a everyday situation. And if I am at a nudist beach I'm naked. If I have a problem with it I shouldn't go to a nudist beach. So why should I evaluate the situation at a nudist beach in another way as in a non-nudist situation?
And even if he comes for a closer look is he then a pervert? I have another understanding what a pervert is.

Same as everyone else here. They can stare all they want. I'm happy to talk for a while. I'll see if I can make eye contact to exchange a smile, a greeting or a quick comment on the weather or something. If they want to talk, cool. The conversation may well touch on the nudist experience. Fine. If they are clothed, I'll probably try more to assess where their attitude is coming from, but as long as it's not hostile, that's okay. If they intimate that they wish for a little hands-on action, I'll politely decline as that's not what I'm there for.

Once there was a lady walking the CO beach in her sundress and hat, who I said hello to and got a response with a smile, but I didn't attempt to make more conversation, perhaps out of shyness. I was thinking I should have made an attempt in case it got her over the line in trying out the experience or at least for the sake of a nice chat. In the end I saw one of the other guys (a regular) talking with her, so at least she didn't leave without any interaction. :-)

Oh, and if it's not a CO zone, I'll probably grab my swimsuit if they're dressed and approaching. I'm yet to have a situation where another party 'joins' me by setting up and stripping. Once a couple did strip for a quick dip nearby and I took that as a sign they might be open to me shedding my suit, so I did. I walked past where they were swimming but they were more interested in each other and dressed and left before I returned.
