Had a home a few years ago where I was a full-time nudist in my house & backyard. Over the years, I rented a room to different housemates. Some were nudists, some not. I made it clear in the beginning that I would ALWAYS be nude, even when they would invite guests to come over. Not once did I ever have a problem with a clothed person concerning my nudity. Thats because its all about how I behaved. Im so comfortable with my naked body, and doing normal, everyday things, that my conduct put (clothed) people at ease. I was very sexual when I lived there, but I kept a hard line between that and my everyday nudity. If it wasnt a sexual situation, then I didnt act like it, nor ever got aroused. I even demonstrated a sex toy for a clothed, mixed group, at their request. It would normally be used when a man had an erection, but since it wasnt a sexual situation, I didnt have one. I told many people that social nudity and sexual behavior are completely separate things. I also imparted this adage:
Social nudity is not about SEEING or being SEEN.
Its about BEING nude.
Who says I'm always rejected? This "guilty until proven innocent" thinking regarding single men is killing nudism in the US. It even applies to single dads at family resorts. Who would think that a single parent with two grade school kids has any time to focus on anything or anybody else? Err You do. You dont judge people unless they disagree with you. And the, its my boner and Ill show it off if I want to is exactly the attitude that is destroying it for the guys who just want to enjoy nudism. I know youll never admit to being in the wrong on this. Its just your nature.
What is it with you two ? You can't treat someone else's comment with respect, but you are fast enough to put them down, just because you don't agree with their words ! Point of fact here, you two are not the bloody experts on nudism and everything related to it. You always see only the negative side to anything that is said on any forum comment. Stoneandy's forum comments are more honest than anything you two come out with, he's giving a valid point of view, whereas you two are, as always giving a negative crappy attitude to something you don't agree with.
If someone sees you naked its not the fault of god or the witness. Its always entirely the fault of the naked person. The naked person has no control over how the witness will react regardless of that naked persons intention is. There is no argument here, being naked in a place where nudity is not accepted is not a social norm. Nudists know this thats why nudist spaces like resorts, clubs and beaches exist. Every time I read a post saying something like my neighbour is totally fine with my being naked in my garden. she even invited me over for coffee I tend to think that person is living in a fantasy world rather than this one.
If you two are so clever of the Law on nudity, then you should know that it's legal for basic nudity in the UK, as long as you are not doing anything crude or illegal, such as masturbation, you are perfectly fine and within your rights to be naked. It does not have to be a nudist beach or resort either. If someone reacts all OTT then they are the problem, not the nudist. Your so called advice is WRONG ! How would you know that someone's neighbour isn't totally fine with their nudity, were or are you there to make that decision or are you assuming you are yet again correct, when you are not ?
Im not wrong David. I am a naturist, and I practice nudism as much as I can. But I make damn sure I dont involve anyone else who doesnt share my lifestyle. My neighbours dont call the police on me being legally naked because I chose not to involve them.
David is NOT wrong, YOU are ! He proved his point in the comments above yours, so you don't have a legal leg to stand on ! Just because others don't share your lifestyle, doesn't make you being naked in your own garden illegal. You are just being a prude from your own words. Granted, your neighbours might not want to see you naked, but if they did, there is sweet FA they can do about it, you just hate being proved wrong, you can't admit defeat.

Well you are untitled to your thoughts and its of no consequence to me whether you believe anything or not.
My neighbour is an older, single woman and we have struck up and very good friendship. Yes she knows Im nude in summer, why wouldnt I be ? And yes she has invited me several times to swim naked in her pool.
So not everyone lives in a fantasy world as you suggest and why does it matter if they do ?

With regards to the original post, surely theres a time and a place. If Im nude at the beach or on a nudist zone then Im with likeminded people going about our days. I wouldnt walk down the high street naked, its called common decency and respect.
Could use some of that on this site at times.
So not everyone lives in a fantasy world as you suggest and why does it matter if they do ? .
why does it matter if they do? Ask David, he hasnt found nudist neighbour nirvana like you have claimed. And because of all the fantasists who post their nudity in front of the neighbours stories. He is victim of the and why does it matter if they do where they think neighbours will be fine with nudity. When the opposite is so obviously true for him. Im not gullible enough to think, it doesnt mater if they do, because fantasy stories harm nudism rather than promote it. Can you not see that?

Over the years we have met hundreds if not thousands of nudists, cant say any of them were asexual, we certainly are not.

So, how does one recognise an asexual nudist?
Ive also noticed an increasing trend to make single males unwelcome both at beaches and resorts.Have herd of many resorts not permitting singleMales, and beachs were single males being chased off. Gunnison has many men who arrive alone. I am one of them. While it is sometimes difficult to strike up a conversation, only once did someone object to me being there, That was one of my earlier visits and the person must have sensed my discomfort.
Whoever that person was that objected to you, a single male being on the beach should have been told to piss off ! YOU have as much right to be there as he did, he doesn't own the damn beach, nor was it ever his right to assume that you were there under any other reason than to get naked and enjoy the sun on your body. I would not have allowed him to tell me to do anything, I don't care what he thought or assumed you were possibly going to do while you were there. What gave him the right to assume that you were possibly going to stand there with an erection and prance around ? If like most of us, you are a seasoned nudist, that problem is not going to happen, because seeing another naked body is no different to seeing that person in clothes, skin is simply a different form of dress ! That's like saying to someone (Male or Female), your nipples are too erect, I'm offended , I say get a grip on reality and do one.

Thanks for calling out the usual drivel that tries to cast people who know how to be appropriately sexual as asexual just because the libertines want to engage in sexual activity anywhere and everywhere. I usually return to this quote from a paper on the difference between naturism and libertine nudity. For the RAKES', on the other hand, nudity is a sign of sexual readiness. What's more, they are not "sexually closed", but are open ready to touch and be touched, ready for bodily contact and intimacy. This interpretation of nudity is in stark contrast to the one shared by naturists. - ALEKSANDRA HERMAN :NATURIST UTOPIA AND LIBERTINE REBELLION
Over the years we have met hundreds if not thousands of nudists, cant say any of them were asexual, we certainly are not. The problem is also libertines and naturists do not mix very well. Guess who is starting with intolerant behaviour? To my experience mostly the libertines.

Right but honestly about that isnt possible because then they would have to account for their behavior as opposed to the bogus notions of asexual nudists that they roll out every time the behavior is challenged. A couple thoughts on this comment. I agree with most of what was said. I dont think it is hard to separate nudism for sexual activities. Also dont think being sexual is something that is anathema to nudism its just a matter of appropriate place and time so nudist spaces can be safe for everyone. For example there are some people actively get nude who dont want families with kids around nudist spaces so they can be publicly drunk and engage in sexual behavior. That is very selfish in my opinion because families have as much right to be able to enjoy nudism as single people or those without kids. Also there are adult only venues if you dont want to be around families.

Finally erotica is erotica in my opinion, there doesnt need to be a nude qualifier. Erotica has a sexual intention of arousal and titillation built into it. It can be set in any numbers of locations including ones where characters are nude. On the other hand naturist or nudist fiction has nudism and the accompanying social nudity at the center of the story without being focused on any sexual connotation.

The point I was trying to make is if you accept nudism as not inherently sexual then no qualification is for erotica is necessary. Erotica is inherently sexual just as naturism/nudism is not inherently sexual
I completely agree. I've written nudist fiction with both non-sexual every person audiences as well as sexual erotica.
Here are a couple quotes from papers and research on naturism to clarify what I mean Recent paperNaturist nudity is not interpreted through the prism of eroticism by naturists, because it does not have sex as an aim. Aleksandra HermanEarly researchWe need to acquire the capacity to see the bodies of individuals of the other sex with such self-control and such natural instinct that they become non-erotic to us and can be gazed at without erotic feeling. SMH Whats not normal is the idea that the only thing that applies in social setting is individual needs wants and desires. This whole fake asexual idea about those who actually are mature enough to control their behavior and moderate sexual action to where it is appropriate is so tired and played out. The only people saying nudists are asexual is those who want an anything goes environment where the safety or concerns of other dont matter. I for one am anything but asexual but I dont use every social environment to pursue sexual activities. I am mature enough to know when and where sexual activity is appropriate.

On the other hand all these "open" and "open minded" libertines talk about people being overtly sexual while wearing clothing as if that is something common place. It isnt. People having sex in public wearing clothes is considered no more appropriate than people engaging in sexual activity unclothed. So stop with the false equivalency, what aboutism, false flags and paper tigers. The only people who buy it are those libertines who want to pursue their sexual profile ties under the guise of being nudists.

Unfortunately those in the mainstream who are against nudism totally also see this and use it to reinforce their interest in eliminating nudism.

I am not sure if its a lack of education or wilful ignorance but Im constantly amazed at how many people fail to understand the meaning of the words they use.

Puritan, look it up and then tell me that it in any way could be used to describe a nudist.

    Asexual, look up the definition.

I can sit with a beautiful sexy woman dressed or naked and have a conversation. I dont need to sexualise anyone to be social. That in now way means Im not attracted to anyone.

I am a normal adult male.

I am always amazed at how some people behave weirdly, doing things naked that wouldnt be accepted clothed and then say "its normal". Posing naked in full view of neighbors as if it is some kind of badge of honor or reporting taking naked photos in front of monuments as some kind of achievements. Then saying without a hint of irony that they dont understand why more people arent more accepting of their behavior.
If you truly want nudism to be accepted, dont say god made us this way. Change public opinion. Flashing your dick in front of your neighbours isnt going to help anyone. If you or anyone else want to change public opinion and make nudism more acceptable? My first suggestion to many here would be, stop making nudism weirder than they think it is.
Agree disagree?
Your views on natural life come across to me like you dissagree totally with hudism/naturism unless its all on your terms and understanding. Nudism to you is being confined into your home locked away from the outside world. That's your choice and your view which is ok, but nudism was here at the beginning of life with everyone LONG BEFORE materials were created. Nudism is not weired its the most natural normal life style we've all been created in and given for life. Being in the police force trying to re-invent the wheel on the subject only makes things worse, which is why I pointed out about their own deranged mindsets and their own personal views on right and wrong, and when you then go and legalise your own corruption, its time you were stopped trying to convince and corrupt normal people who just plain don't agree with your views and ways of life. The fact that your on a nudist forum and against it unless on your own terms is really something else!!
