Would most of us be comfortable walking into a grocery store nude if 99.9 percent of the folks around us were clothed. It would definately need to be warm outside.

That very day, even if I didn't have anything I particularly needed.

Nov 26, 2019I already go naked at the beach near where I live now which isn't a recognised nudist beach, but there was a ruling recently that said technically all beaches were nude beaches as it's not illegal to be naked in the UK provided you are not committing a lewd act. I suppose technically it isn't illegal for me to go shopping nude, that would be up to the store manager I guess. But if it was widely accepted them I guess I would.

Dec 6, 2019
I'd like to say, immediately, but it might be a bit much being the only nudist while everyone else is clothed. It would probably take some getting used to.
I've been the only one shirtles in a lot of places over the years and asked to leave a few, so I guess I would be the only one nude if it were legal,ReagierenAntworten - JO
Dec 6, 2019It is already not illegal where I live but I'm going to wait a little longer until the local textile population is comfortable with the legal situation.

Shops are private property. Whether it's no shoes, no shirt, no service, no guns, no smoking, no dogs, the shop or property owner get to make the rules. Some shops will prefer as many customers as possible, others will cater to the majority in hopes of not offending their most common patrons, excluding some.
At the cusp of a clothing optionalfuture, we're probably best to focus on public space and not try to impose nudity on those not comfortable with it. For those in the U.S., the U.S. Constitution technically protects us in public space thought it's a battle few have taken or publicised; it's a futile if not counter-productive legal battle in the U.S. to push it further into private places.
Many shops may fly a Nudist Flag (is there a nudist/naturist flag) as they do with the LGBTQX or POW flags, to note that folks are welcome and encourage spending their dollars. Some may ownly open exterior service widows like fast food joints to accomodate us. I'd be thrilled with those options.
That said, It's not that hard to put on shoes and shirts (and shorts!) to shop for things we need. And we're all textiles sometimes due to weather and as far as I'm concerned, everyone is a closet nudist to some extent or another.

Perhaps nudists can get together and design one.ReagierenAntworten - SH

Oct 7, 2021
No, I certainly would not be the one that starts it. I wouldn't feel comfortable, In nudists area, i will be lead to dine naked where most are dressed, But attend nude gathering that publicity attracks well i would like to see, but not start rightaway. Anyone who can tell at what kind of % of fellow nude , you would join a 24/7/12 lifestyle?
For certain crowded places like public transportation, church, concert hall, theaters, I doubt that I would ever go nude. Also grocery shopping because the stores are too cold. Driving, front yard work, as soon as it was legal. Others activities would fall somewhere in between.ReagierenAntworten - BA
Oct 7, 2021No I don't think I would be the first. Maybe over time when the shock wears off.

Not need to dress to go get the mail or take out the garbage would be nice but not sure of the necessity of going shopping naked.ReagierenAntworten - MI

Oct 20, 2021The concept of going about one's daily business sans le clothes is something that has always intrigued me so if it was legal to be nude in public, including going grocery shopping, I think the practice would have been deemed acceptable with expectations that seeing people going about their daily activities in the nude would not be unusual (not unlike nude beaches with signs advising that you are entering a nude beach). If that was the case, I would likely be an early adopter to being nude in public on a regular basis - weather permitting

Dec 1, 2021I was visiting Cypress Cove some years ago, and needed another towel, They had a general store with a sundry of items which was a large size store for a resort, Anyway, I shopped there nude and was checked out by clothed clerks it was a great experience, so I guess I tested your theory, if ever legal I would shop nude.

REAL Nudists/Exhibitionists would really enjoy hanging out on the street with us FREErangeSFnudistPIONEERS (on sunny warm days) in San Francisco among THOUSANDS of closeted-nudists, most of them friendly if not completely unconcerned or disinterested in our Nudism aside from the countless FANS of our Exhibitionism. ( all snapshots from Summer/Autumn 2021/this year ).

Dec 22, 2021As it is, the most I wear is t-shirt and shorts.
Even though MO is warmer than CA, I think you would also find it chilly
If I'm going to be outside for an extended period of time, I do wear more clothing -- even shoes on occasion. Dec 22, 2021Female toplessness is already legal in New York. Do you see it in grocery stores? No. Couple of reasons: The stores themselves have rules in addition to the general law, and the women, protesters aside, would just generally rather shop than create a scene. Same for me if state and local laws in general permitted nudity. First question: Would I be welcome to be nude in this particular private venue? Second question: Is this the day I want to be the guy who's attracting attention, and possibly causing offense, by dressing out of the norm?
Norms do change, but that change is gradual. Legal nudity might creep into being usual on beaches and in parks, then maybe on the street in certain areas, then in businesses adjacent. Too far, too fast, and there's just backlash. Witness what happened in San Francisco with nudity on crowded subway cars, cockrings outside elementary schools, that sort of aggressiveness. Or Brattleboro.
