Reality show will be set in Florida nudist resort
TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Like reality TV? Like to be naked? Here's your chance at stardom.
A new reality show is casting next month for seven people to work at a Tampa-area nudist resort for a month and bare their lives in front of the camera.
The show will be filmed at the Caliente Resort, a sprawling, clothing optional development.

"Salomon said "The Nak'd Truth" is targeting television's coveted
18-49 year-old demographic, so his ideal cast will have "good character
and strong personalities."
He will consider narcissistic types as well as wallflowers, he said.
Salomon, who has produced shows for Comedy Central and the Travel
Channel, said he wanted to explore how clothing relates to interpersonal
relationships and status.
"Clothing is something that often defines who we are and how we act,"
Salomon said. "It's going to be fascinating to see how people react
when they no longer have it."
Prospective cast members must be under 35 and new to the nudist
lifestyle. Those selected for the show will live at the 120-acre
Caribbean-themed resort in Land O' Lakes for a month and work jobs
ranging from lifeguard to social director."
18-49 demographic and cast members must be under 35? I think we all know where this is going. Obvioously, not a real nudist experience.
I dont think there will be any real reality. It sounds to me like they will promote the show with frequent comments about nude people and that is the only reason for the show.
Like the news reporters saying numerous times "Nude people on the beach, stay tuned, more at 11" and then at the very end of the 11:00 news they will report that someone was nude on the beach.
In view of recent developments at Caliente I think the show will not be a positive for nudists, and, probably will be very negative for us. It probably will show us in a poor light and do us more harm than good.
The TV people want ratings even if at our expense.
Contrary to popular belief poor publicity is NOT better than no publicity
They have a lot to gain and we have a lot to lose.
caliente has been on reality tv in the past. that less than entertaining paris hilton - nicole richie reality show had them at the resort where they were to be maids at the resort. it was more of a sitcom than reality tv.
