naked at home

I like to be naked at home all the time but we have big windows and I hate that the curtains have to be closed so people can't see in does anyone else have this problem?

Naked or not, we have net curtains at the front so people cannot see in. I don't understand why anyone would want to live in a goldfish bowl.

Semi opaque curtains will let some light in, but blur a view from out side. They don't have the same effect from inside because you are close to them. Also consider the elevation from the street and the height of the window sills. I can be nude in my living room and even at night with the lights on just be seen as a guy without a shirt. During the day, you have to get right up to the house to be able to see in because it is well shaded and does not get a lot of light.
You can install louvered shutters that when partially closed distort the view enough that some one from outside would have to work to see your nudity and lastly you can install a curtain across the lower portion of you window to block part of the view from outside.

We have no curtains on our windows but i still am nude through the house during the day. It is difficult to see in a house during the day and we are a ways from the road so no one can see in unless they come up close to the house. I do not just stand in front of a window nude nor do I run around nude after dark with the lights on and no curtains. If I were you I would go outside sometime during the day and look in the house to see what a passerby might see. Unless someone were to stop and stare into your house they are not likely to see you nude.

Fortunately I live in a century home and the windows are normal size so I can be nude while at home.

My house is far enough off the road that it just doesn't matter. Even at night with all the light on in the house, you really can't see into the house. Additionally, the house is higher up than the road, so you're looking up at the house. It's difficult to see anything in the lower half of a room. I'd like to have curtains, just because I think they would be nice -- but they are far from necessary.

Have you considered using sheers? They let plenty of light through but make it difficult to see through them clearly -- like obscured glass.

Front windows have curtains or sheers and back windows open so I can see out, the dog, garden etc. When we had a hot tub I warned the neighbors behind there might be some nudity around hot tub. I did put up an 8 ft arbor for the grapes so the house behind can't see directly into the deck or family room where I spend the most time. Luckily big yard so neighbors are farther than most. When naked on the deck I simply clip a sheet over the railing so nobody can see below my waist. I also have a few windows with drapes on bottom half so plenty of light and we can see out.

You might look into Top Down/Bottom Up shades. This a solution we used for the one window that faces a neighbors home. We can leave the top half of the shade open and just close the bottom half so no one can see us inside. Of course it could get expensive if you would need to replace all your shades.

Another option is frosted glass film. That lets the light in but provides a privacy layer. Perfect If the goal is not to be exposed but to let the sunlight in.

Or half shutters on the bottom of the windows. We had them in a vacation apartment once. Very convenient.

RE:naked at home

This was a huge concern for me when I went searching for my first bachelor's pad. My biggest advice on this is the realtor's saying "Location. Location. Location." I ultimately picked an apartment complex where the individual buildings were well separated. I chose an apartment on the top floor (third floor) for not only security and avoiding storm floods but also the privacy. And the only big window is the sliding glass door that leads on to the balcony.
So being naked at home was easy and comfortable. Especially during the winter when I can run the fireplace in the living room. Now that is a level of comfort I hadn't experienced since my youth. As a teen, I would sleep in the basement whenever my parents ran the wood stove; sleeping nude on the couch listening to the hum of the blower. Now as an adult, I'm sitting naked on the couch next to the fireplace, glass of Jack and Coke on the end table, reading a good book or magazine.
Wife and I are strongly hoping that when we can finally afford to leave the coast and move to the mountains, that we can find a house that provides us all the same comforts that my bachelor pad are providing us now and then some.
