New here... got questions

Hey everyone... Im new here... Im kinda just testing the waters. By no means am I a nudist yet

I do have questions;
So what constitutes someone as a nudist? Is nudism at home considered being a nudist?

Do we all believe a time and place for everything?

Why choose this lifestyle?

What led you to this lifestyle?

Yes, home nudism is still nudism. Some people will tell you otherwise, but that's elitism talking. Not everyone has the opportunity to get out there and do it publicly at the drop of a hat. Not all societies make allowances for it. There are a lot of reasons why nudists may have to practice predominantly or even entirely in the privacy of their homes or homes of friends, etc.

Yes, there's a time and a place for nudism (and everything). Being a nudist does not mean you have to be nude 100% of the time in all things. If you're cold - grab something warm. If the sun is burning your skin, grab something to shade it. If there's a sand storm (what?) then you most certainly want to wear something, If you need protection, get it. Also in most places it's not legal to just wander about in the buff outside of specific areas, so you'll have to bow to society or risk getting arrested.

I chose it because it chose me, as hokey as that sounds. I've always felt a call to it, but never answered. It always seemed too inaccessible due to social and legal concerns. But legality can be danced around and social concerns are often nothing more than unfounded fear, and the ones that are legitimate can often be overcome.

What lead me to it? An extended period of self reflection and choosing to change myself to change my life for the better. Was making the decision scary? Yep! Would I decide not to if I could time travel? Hell, no. I'd have done it years earlier.

There have been a few folks asking questions here over the last week (New Year's Resolutions, I bet!), so there should be a lot of low hanging fruit in terms of answers right at the top of this forum section. There's more if you dig back a bit, too. Feel free to ask whatever you wish to know though, and I hope you get the answers you seek.

Welcome, JessiyaBlue!

Sure. In my opinion (which may not be everybody's opinion). there's nudism, and then there's "social nudism."

Do we all believe a time and place for everything?

In most respects, yes. CodeBare summed it up well. I can only add "When in Rome..."

Why choose this lifestyle?

Because I can choose it. I would rather be naked than clothed, unless there is some need to wear clothes, either due to social convention or comfort. It's my personal choice.

What led you to this lifestyle?

Being born. I'm told I was naked when I came down the chute, although I'll have to take other people's word on that.

But if you're talking about social nudism, it was exposure to the FKK scene in Europe when I was much younger, and later socializing with my friends in hot tubs and pools. It made sense for all of us to be naked there, and to appreciate each other for who they were, and not what they wore.

As you explore the site, you'll get lots of answers to your questions. But if you have one that hasn't been addressed, feel free to post it. (I call your attention in particular to the forum called "The Ladies' Room" which deals with some of the issues that women face but men don't.)

New here... got questions

These are great questions
Yes, there is definitely a time and place. Being arrested for indecent exposure is probably not anyones goal. Also, in my experience, if me being naked is making someone uncomfortable, then I cover up. I am a boater and a lot of boater like to boat nude. Some (most) of my boater friends are absolutely fine with nudity and many join in. BUTsometimes there are a few that are not comfortable with it, so we cover up.

Next, Why? Why not? I have been a nudist for 30 years. First at home then I ventured out and discovered that there are a lot more nudist in the world than I ever thought possible. I just like being nude. When I got my first place away from the parents, I enjoyed nudity. Work all day, go home, take a shower and not put on clothes until the next morning when you have to go to work. A lazy weekend at home, why wear clothes at all? Cleaning the house, of course you should do it naked. Painting, never wear clothes painting. Cooking, sure, naked is better.

Im not sure what led me to be a nudist. I just prefer being naked. When I discovered other nudists and became great friends with many people that are nudists, it was easy to see that naked was a great life.

RE:New here... got questions

I never did have a shy bone in my body to the chagrin of my extremely conservative religious family members. My father was a strong large hot tempered no non sense man so I did tow the line. My ex developed a revulsion for nudity. It was when I ridded myself of being around those people met Luann and we discovered open nudity together. I never could look at her naked enough and fortunately she still humors me 23 yrs later.

One of the questions I'm asked by nudist men and women alike; "don't you ever get tired of seeing your wife naked?" "Hell No!" We've been nudists and live life naked every minute of every day, that we can. I never tire of seeing her naked and still my heart skips beats when she's out of sight for any length of time and then emerges nude into a room. ;DDD

My wife is rarely nude, but if she were I would never get tired of it.
I think her reaction to my frequent nudity is more tolerance than enthusiasm.

To the question "don't you ever get tired of seeing your wife naked?" I would counter "Do you get tired of seeing your wife's face?" In my view, when you are in love with someone, you love seeing them -- and the more of them you can see, the better :)
