Sunnyside North under threat?

The Mornington Peninsula council apparently want to remove Sunnyside North's clothing-optional status.

I commented in the thread Summer 2021-2022 at Sunnyside North, and the background's there, but this topic probably should have it's own thread. As the only official CO area on Port Phillip (all 1930 know / 750 sq mi of it) and the only one in reasonable reach of Melbourne, it needs preserving!

SSS, can you arrange a petition or something similar. I haven't been there for many years, I live near Geelong now but went there lots in the 20 years I was around Melbourne. You're right, it needs preserving, the complaints seemed more to do with unsavory activities after dark, needles, drinking etc.

I've made a new post about saving Sunnyside North's clothing- optional status at https://www.truenudists.com/forum/thread/205893/save-sunnyside-north-tell-the-council/

Please click the link and find how to register your support for Sunnyside North staying CO. It should only take a few minutes, unless you end up writing a passionate essay. :-)

Glad to see this on here. The above is a petition that's been started as a part of a pretty big campaign to fight council on this one. Michael that started this petition is a good mate of mine. He is heavily involved in this campaign and is heavily involved in the nudist community in Melbourne and the south east/mornington peninsula...

Apparently it's being discussed soon by the local council this week. It got a mention on talk radio in Melbourne.
