As much as I enjoyed all the mainstream, Saturday morning cartoons of the 60's, you had to get up really early to watch the old ones.
Prime time cartoons usually started by 9:00 or so, but you could usually catch the really old classic stuff between 6 and 8.
Some of my favorites were the original Popeye, Woody Woodpecker, Mickey Mouse features and the Merry Melodies and Silly Symphonies! They were made so much better!
Three Stooges, Abbot and Costello and The Little Rascals would be on then as well. The real ones, not the cartoons.
Those were great times to grow up.
