Diversity Rainbow!

We love and embrace racial and cultural diversity! We believe that the world is a better place because of it. As a result of this belief, we reject all forms of racism. We detest all ideas associated with white supremacy or the supremacy of any other race. We believe that nudity amongst all races should be encouraged. We would love to see much more racial diversity in the nudist and naturist...

As a POC I love what I feel this group is about.
But may I humbly suggest we practice what we preach?
The group's photo is a group of models of about the same age and body type.
Perhaps we should have more diversity in our "diversity".............
I've loaded several other selections to the group's media for the moderator to choose from.

that is a very good point and I agree, as every naked body is nice to be with and there should be no discrimination of any type

Well, point taken - these guys are definitely model types. So they illustrate an idealized diversity.
PS I'd also note there is no Asian represented.

I thought of the same regarding the picture. I have googled many variations searches to find a more diverse picture, to include age, and physical features and I've yet to find anything that would 'fit' a 'diverse' pic of guys. Actually this pic comes in several of the results. Most other pics, where age was a factor or physical physique, it was sexual activity taking place in the pic. It's not an easy thing just to find pics of nude men where sexual activity is not been done and most group pics are younger guys. I've attended a fair amount of nude gathering and in most guys just refuse to be in pics.

One of the challenges with Google is that it's driven on what people click on from the search results as an indication of what is a "correct" response. Therefore the most "popular" choices get returned rather than all the "correct" choices.

Also, despite how Google does respond to grammatically correct sentences as searches, it's still using keywords from what you type. So try using diverse keywords instead of relying on one or two words to drive your search.

Lastly, a feature in image searches is that once you click on a picture in Google it will provide you with more images. Sometimes it's more of the same image posted in different locations but sometimes it different selections of images that are similar to the one you selected.

And as Rafael_latino pointed out, be mindful of legalities of using the pictures you find. Most artists and companies will have their name or logo all over pictures they post to prevent misuse. So as long as you don't go out of your way to crop out such protection efforts there's less to be concerned about. But particularly as nudists make sure that there is some indication that the people in pictures are aware that their picture was being taken. Don't use pictures taken in public where the subject isn't looking directly at the camera and is a short distance away and not being spied on with a telephoto lens.

Best case scenario, if a person DOES fine their picture online they can simply ask that it be deleted.

Hi guys!
I just saw this discussion and just wanted to say that if anyone finds a better picture for the group, I'll be happy to replace the current one. I just wanted one with a group of naked people and a diversity of races. So if you can find one like that, that's copyright free and/or has the permission of the models, please send it along! Or why not gather your nudist friends together (of different races and nationalities) and take one for the group! That would be wonderful! :)
Thanks for posting!
Tony

My whole point I was making was before complaining about saying something is wrong with something, in this case the diversity of the picture for the group, have a something to replace this pic that is diverse enough to meet the diversity of this group. And for the record, yes I did do many types of different searches of combinations of words and could not find another more suitable picture than the one that is current.

Yes pictures that come up on google searches are driven by many factors, that could be endless for all we know, or even paid to be shown first. I know this as a fact as our own company doesn't come up in the first page on a google search though we are the official site for the product, resellers and copy cats come up first. Or it's the that are listed first and searcher doesn't pay attention. It's not just with google, it's with all search engines. I always have to deal with customers that call complaining they didn't get what they thought it was or find they paid too much. I ask them what email address their confirmation purchase email came from, it's never our site and have to state, "you'll have to contact them to resolve the issue". I even have to some times research those websites for their customer service as caller has no idea how to do even that.

LOL thinking someone is going to have to rip off a Spencer Tunick pic at some point to satisfy everyone.

well said, nudism seems to push model type bodys while ignoring other body types, as you say, lets see more diversity within body types

RE:"Diversity"

In today's "body acceptance" and no shaming culture, we confuse body type with lifestyle choices. We are born with the diversity of a rainbow of skin tones, height and frame size (such as inseam or the distance between our collar bones) , and physical abilities, genetics and aging also create diversity in such matters as muscle function and hair and skin elasticity.
Lifestyle choices further expand diversity by changing our hair (razors and dye), body mass index (diet and exercise), gender and skin (tattoos and tanning). The moderator has chosen a fit, smiling lifestyle for himself and the picture he chose also has young, fit, smiling men of different ethnic backgrounds to reflect divresity. Does it adequately display diversity? To me it does. Sure, it reflects a fitness ideal. Yes, it could include woman, transexuals, extremely tall, short, obese and emaciated people, but the point is perhaps not how different we can be from one aother, but rather that we can come together and celebrate nakedness in diversity because nakedness takes away barriers, and it's good.
