Self Timers

For those who take naked photos of themselves using a self timer

Non posed self timers.

Most of us with self timers just do posing ie we just decide where we are going to take the photo and stand when it is taken. But the last one I took I was strimming (weed whacking) around the apple tree so didn't know what it was going to be like until I checked afterwards and with the flash turned this didn't give me any idea when it was going to take and I am very pleased with it as it is so natural.

Great result. It's fun to set the camera/iPhone to take a picture every so many seconds: three, five, ten, whatever and then just go about doing some task. Fortunately with the digital photos we have now, we can throw away the many that turn out blurred, fuzzy, no one is in the frame, etc. I've had many of those. But some of them work with just a bit of blur which indicates that at least we aren't just posing - " not that there's anything wrong with that" LOL One of me making up a bed:

I did the same thing recently while washing dishes - set the self timer and just keep working.

I agree. Action shots are so much better, more natural. I have had some where I didn't quite make it to the pose.

The iPhone can do that, ie. set take a picture every so many seconds? Mine (a Samsung) can't do that. Nevertheless, i use self-timer for most of my pictures when i'm alone (10 seconds sufficient, not too difficult poses). Yesterday i did several hand-held selfie pixs (using self-timer). I think they turned out okay but can be better ... need more practice lol.

As I update my photo/video technology, I've noticed a great trend (IMHO). Cameras with extensive remote controls that link up to phones & tablets. Yeah, we know that, but the GoPro knock-offs are damn inexpensive. I bought a basic model, $60, w/ no remote capabilities. I just saw the fully loaded model, I got a hardon when I saw what control a $160 system was capable of.

I'll occasionally do a video of me hanging around [indoors or out] or just doing things. To see & here myself as others do [movement, talking on the phone, talking to myself, gesturing, self-touching, etc.], Wow.

Download Camera Zoom (free), and use the combination Timer and Burst within the settings. When done, set back to zero.

It is a real 'sport' to use the timer and not looking posed. It is the best way to make more active pictures if you don't have anyone to do a shoot.
I tried, but it is a repetive journey before you have the right picture.
