Soda Lake - Potholes State Park Directions

There are numerous areas near Potholes state park to hike. This particular location is most easily accessed from Highway 17 south of Moses Lake. Drive west on highway 262. Turn left onto a gravel road just beofre reachiing O'Sullivan Dam. This used to be access to a state park camping area that is now closed. Soda Lake is used by fisherman and there is a small parking are there. But I had more success driving west-southwest on the gravel road from that parking lot, taking an immediate left after the intermittent creek, and driving southeast until reaching the access to the trail on your left and a small, primitive parking area on your right. You can walk the trail, frequented by textiles, or strike off in any other direction and find virtually complete privacy; just you and nature.
