  I went to the Orvis a few weeks ago. It was great! The staff was welcoming and asked if I had been there before. I said no, so they explained the rules. It was quite busy when I got there with cars in the parking lot and people coming and going. I went down stairs to the dressing room and got undressed. You have to stay covered up while in the building, but once outside you can be nude. When I got there, there was one of the staff people walking around checking the temperatures of the pools. There are various depths and various temperatures to pick from. I picked one I liked and soaked for a g…

  Pros: The staff, the grounds and overall environment. The water temperature was great!

  Cons: Can't be nude in the building. But that's a small con in comparison.

  I was finally able to make it there a few weeks ago. I tried camping there, but they were booked, so I camped down the road at a KOA. But when I went for a soak, it was pretty busy. People coming and going. The people at the front desk were great!! Asked if I had been there before and I said no, so they explained the rules and that it was clothing optional, and where the changing rooms were. They have multiple pools of various temperatures. Yeah, there were some people with bathing suits on. And a good number of people that were totally nude, and some women chose to just be topless. The whole…

  Pros: The staff, the grounds, the temperature of the water.

  Cons: They only have a small number of "Camp" spots, so they book up fast and you have to call to do it. They can be busy, so getting someone on the phone took some effort. I had to call several times.

  The staff at the front desk are very friendly and accommodating. From calls to make room and massage reservation to checking in and giving us a tour of the grounds, they were helpful in making sure that we had a great experience. The water is great and the different soaking ponds allows you to find the area that works best for you. From a large communal pond to a couple of smaller more intimate ponds. Even one for smokers. The Massage Yurts are close to the large pond and are spacious and the therapist are attentive to finding out what you need worked on and what kind of massage you desire. Th…

  Cons: Nudity not allowed in the building, Shooting Range across the High Way can disrupt your serenity, Make sure you check the cleaning days posted on their web site. It can affect you soaking time.

  A truly great place to visit. The facilities are wonderful; the location in the middle of the Rockies is beautiful; everyone is very nice and peaceful. A great place to relax and unwind. The only thing to notice is that this isn`t your typical nudist resort. It`s more like a hot spring resort that allows nudity. The rules say that you can`t be nude in the corridors and the living area at any time, and you can`t be nude in the indoor pool till 10pm. However, my experience was that most people only disrobe to enter the various pools and saunas. This doesn`t bother me at all, but should be noted.

  I visited Orvis for the first time when I took my fiance to Colorado to meet me relatives, and have since moved to Colorado. Orvis is incredible. It is a very relaxing CO atmosphere, and I highly recommend the massage staff there. The massage hutts are very relaxing, the therapists are well trained, and it is a perfect way to add to the experience. My only wish is that the they would make the interior CO as well. At present, you must wear a towel or a robe when walking through the hall, and can only use the interior pool nude at night. I know that they do this for the locals who do not like nu…
