A question to MATURE Christians

Return to Discussions

I just want to ask the opinion of mature Christians in here. Well, sometimes I am having trouble if being in this site (and being nude) is right or wrong. A voice in me says that it's ok, but another says that it is not.

Also, as a Christian and a young adult, I am struggling with masturbation. Any thoughts about this?

God never mentions stripper dresses or bent over shots looking at the camera. Not very Christian in my opinion

Like Californiacoast mentioned before this may not be the group for you.
Its like a church. Not all churches are for everybody.

RE:A question to MATURE Christians

As a Christian, I do believe that it is also our responsibility to help our co-Christians not to get tempted by the flesh. This is the reason why I agree with what @davyboy99 was saying with regards to taking and uploading pictures in a not so "clean" manner. We can't deny the fact that we are still living inside a physical body making us susceptible to certain levels of temptations.
It's not only a matter of one's way of thinking. You cannot say that "it's his or her fault if he/she sees my picture as something sexual." Cause I believe that if you do love your brothers and sisters in Christ (just as how He commanded us to do) you won't lead or allow her/him to cause sin because of you. Prevention is better than cure as some would put it.

I agree. Lust, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. So there is no blame on the photographer or the one being photographed except: Except that we should no put temptation in peoples way. We are all frail mortals.

I go on a week-long nudist hike each year in the Austrian Alps. There are plenty of photo opportunities so no need to take any which can be provocative.

I don't masturbate because I don't like to. But I don't mind being masturbated. And i don't have a any guilty feelings about it. Neither should you. It's your body to do what you want to do with it. This can open up another topic called pro-choice.

Yes I'm not claiming to be a Christian and not in a stripper dress and miles pretending to be a lover of god lol

You are not a Christian (your words) and not pretending to be a lover of God (again you).
Why did you join this group in the first place? Just to criticize others and post hypocritical statements?
You complain about PIP's artistic photos and yet you post a closeup penis shot as your avatar. Where is your face in your photo?
Please do not cast stone unless you are without sin and possibly consider leaving this group.

As Smokey Robinson and the Miracles once sang, "I Second That Emotion."

The penis profile shot is more than a bit bizarre on a site ostensibly for True Nudist. It has the effect of calling into question anything this member says he believes. What gives?

I ran across these words months ago. Sorry I cannot give tribute to the author but his sentiment is mine.

Sharing something on the Internet is like pushing a toy boat out onto the ocean. You can only control the first push and everything thereafter is beyond your influence. So it is with nudist pictures. My blog is about nudism and there is nothing here about which I am or will be ashamed. Thats why I am happy to show my face. We all have a naked self and I am sharing mine so that I might add my voice to a quiet but swelling chorus. One that seeks to de-stigmatize nudity and achieve a more mature understanding. One that understands that it is not the presence or absence of clothes that determines whether or not something is sexual, but our specific actions and intent.

I can only control my intent. When a photo is copied and posted again it becomes a page in another authors ever expanding book. Sometimes these authors books fall into my own genre, but often as not, they are of a variety far more lewd. When my photo is shared on a blog before and after photos of sex and masturbation, the intent is to sexualize my photo as well. At a certain point, it ceases to matter in any material way what my initial intent may have been; only what the intent of the preceding blogger may have been in the daisy chain of notes. So what is a nudist blogger to do? Cease posting photos? No, the only course is to keep pushing the message and so I shall.
If you re-blog my photos on your porn blog, I cant stop you. If you choose to sexualize my photos, thats your prerogative. However, I'm going to keep attesting to the innocence of nudity and hoping that people will see my photos for what they are: just of a naked man, living life in much the same way a man with clothes would. And I hope that some day, more people will reach a more mature and nuanced understanding of nudity.

I so wish there were "Like" buttons, not just flags. So many responses here were very good.

My take: This whole nudism thing, and Pearl's beautiful pictures, and Coast's profile pics, and all the rest--it's analogous to Paul's thoughts of "eating meat offered to idols." The principle there was, there was not a thing wrong with purchasing meat offered to some Greek/Roman deity, and enjoying what were the best cuts at a discount.

But!

What if it "offends your weaker brother"? Then it's not that it's illegal, or sinful, or evil. It's inconsiderate of a brother in Christ.

But a caveat: One can carry the effort to not offend your brother to the logical extreme, and in our zeal to not let each other offend each other, we can write guidelines (spelled R-U-L-E-S not to be violated) that we must follow; eventually, as more and more offenses are "discovered", we will find ourselves wearing sackcloth and never ever see each other at all.

I have, sadly, been witness to such an extreme. And it was heartbreaking.
