Normalising Nudity
A group for people with a common interest in using nudism/naturism to normalise nudity in society, and promoting healthy attitudes to the human body. We will share ideas, events, media, etc. that will help make non-sexual nudity acceptable generally and not only in reserved areas. Society's attitudes towards nudity lead to unreal expectations about appearance, shame, and ignorance of what a...
Normalizing Nudity and TN
Return to DiscussionsHate to say it, but this web site is not helpful when it comes to normalizing nudity. Anyone visiting here for the first time gets a really bad impression of nudism, especially if you are a woman. Only those real nudist with the patience to work around all the crap and connect with the real true nudist will get the feel for who nudist really are. Thoughts?
Family naturism is de facto airbrushed out as if it doesnt exist or its an awkward secret, and any young person thinking of trying social nudity, young parents considering family naturism, or people of any demographic using the site to explore naturism would be utterly put off.
This is mainly a US site, where "family nudism" can be considered an oxymoron. In our Puritanical society "family friendly" translates to "devoid of anything remotely sexual though the breakdown of civil society and bloody violence are just fine." As a result, nudism has polarized into two groups: postmenopausal camps for nudist women and their aging male cohorts or gay/bi male play camps. They are both legitimate, but don't leave viable options for naturist families, at least here in the Midwest.
As a single dad, I've struggled from the start such as finding that restaurants only had changing stations in the women's room. I've noticed how anything family-oriented tends to be a disneyfied bubble of tokens and greasy video game knobs. Or else it's religious, though Christianity has few role model families, starting with the first family that solved sibling rivalry with a quick murder.
Despite the shortcomings of this profit-driven site which readily accepts trolling and vitriol but edits away innocent naturist pictures, I'm grateful for nudist friends I've made whom I'm glad to have my sons meet. Now if there were just a few more closer by, that would solve everything!
You are definitely right even though you're trying to be almost PC in your ambiguous terminology probably because you fear being the target of retaliation which is of course the possibility. It is clear over the past few years the site has begun allowing and not only allowing the catering to pervert activities and harassment against normal average nudist by so-called members and also by the site operators. There is a rapidly expanding activity among the site operators and many of the group moderators to harass normal true nudist, by deleting their posts on a routine or occasional basis for no reason whatsoever. This goes on daily. Also there are a few so-called moderators multiple groups that routinely her ass and discriminate against straight males and delete their stuff or they will push it completely deep into the old posts so no one sees it. These people know who they are. And in the last 3 years the site operators have been clearly aware of but allowing pervert activities including scams including scams being conducted out of Nigeria which I have posted about and they are so blatantly obvious that the operators of the site have to know about it instead they spend their time harassing and deleting post and photos and videos of real nudists and ignoring the perverts in the scammers in the identity thieves. This must change and it must change soon otherwise there's going to end up being massive legal action against the site and what will result is that virtually all nudist in naturist oriented internet activity will come to a screeching halt by mandate oh, but it seems The Operators of this site and the sister site, you know what site that, seem to be so naive or stupid they don't understand how that's going to work.
Absolutely correct specifically the past 3 years. I was on this site years and years ago much longer ago than it says on my post I left because of the stupidity of The Operators and then he back. This site and all nudist a naturist related internet activity are going to be in danger if they do operators don't get their heads out of their butts because the government is going to mandate that none of it can be continued oh, except the perverted feminist movement will be able to operate perverted internet activities with perverted lesbian extremist nudity, meanwhile any male nudity will be prosecuted as a crime oh, go ahead and laugh at that and then go look at what the Biden Administration is done in the last couple months to destroy everything possible and to promote the censorship and destruction of freedom and free expression on the internet everywhere. The Operators of this site need to get their heads out of their butts immediately or go the way of the dodo
the latest MANdates on this site, ....bankster related (?) come on.... , have proved you 100% CORRECT.
We cannot wait for others ( anonymous trolling censors ) to liberate us or normalize NUDITY; we have to do it.
Come join us! See this naked guy 2 on flickr to see what we're doing on a weekly basis in NorCal; proving THE LADIES LOVE NAKED MEN.
So what has happened in this sense over the last year? Has anything changed? Have any of us tried to influence the site managers / operators to improve the site and make nudity less of an issue in broader society?
Yes things have changed with people like you talking with younger people experimenting with nudity as a peer group on a clothing optional beach in Australia. You spoke with them in a respectful way so that they could relate, and the fact that you were naked without making it an issue normalized it for them. You influenced the next generation. We do what we can with the people we can as and when we can. It's both seemingly insignificant and everything at the same time, and that's the type of dedication and change I believe in.
Andy, thanks for the vote of support, I also spoke briefly to two women on the beach near me on Friday. Just said it was great to see them enjoying the sun and the ocean naturally, they swam for an hour I think. I try not to impose on others in terms of space, I keep a respectful distance so no one ever feels uncomfortable. I wondered if anything else has happened on the site. I'm sure many of our fellow TN site users do similar things trying to welcome or encourage others at beaches especially if you've not seen them before.
