RE:What to wear when you go to or leave a nudebeach

However, sunscreen has become much more potent so that should overcome the reluctance to go shirtless, I remember some years back when SPF 12 was considered a strong sunblock, now 30 and 50 are common and 100 is available.

True. There are some people, however, who have some sensitivity to the chemicals in sunblock, or reservations about their use. (There was a good article on the subject in Consumer Reports recently.) For them, wearing an article of clothing is their only option.

I wear only T shirt, shorts and flip flops. No reason to carry more than I need to.

I never wear a T shirt between the car and beach, just shorts and flip flops. Also because I see no reason to carry more than I need, and I don't need a shirt.

Only sunglasses and a smile, if appropriate. I usually end up wearing a tank top, shorts (commando), flip flops and sunglasses. Carry a cooler with beverages, towel, sunscreen, snacks, phone, . . . . always more than I really need. :-)

I go to Gunnison Beach in New Jersey. I've never built up enough nerve to drive naked for the 20 mile trip from my home but would love to try it sometime. I wear shorts, tee shirt and sneakers for the drive and then put on flip flops to walk from the parking lot. I wear my shorts to the clothing optional sign and then take them off for the rest of my walk to get to my spot. I love the freedom of being naked on the beach and wonder why guys choose to go to the nude beach but wear bathing suits.

Ever just wear shorts and no shirt? That is what I almost always do.

Why the shirt? I never wear one for the drive or the walk.
It seems to me that most of the men who are wearing something are with someone who is nude.
Do you think otherwise?

Went to Gunnison yesterday.
Saw a man walking to the beach wearing a jacket above the waist and only a g-string below.
Strange combination!

Is a shirt required on the bus?I don't know what the bus company wants but my wife likes me to wear one.

All depends of the context our culture you are visiting. If its nudist then of course no thing on the beach. Other wise regular summer clothes. I dont think there are many options.
